Playing the role of the high jump gold medalist Kang Tae Joon in SBS' To the Beautiful You, SHINee′s Minho is taking on a prickly and stoic character.
However, in new preview still cuts for the show's second episode, Kang Tae Joon is standing in the rain for a funeral. The normally stiff character is seen paying his respects and even offering his prized gold medal, before breaking down in front of the urn.
The funeral scene was shot last month at a cemetery in Gyeonggi-do's Gwangju.
For his scene, Minho remained largely silent and concentrated on collecting his emotion from the moment he came to the set. Despite having to film the scene for some three hours, Minho was praised for never once losing his focus.
The first episode of To the Beautiful You premieres on August 15.
