As we previously reported, SM Entertainment has refueled its plans to produce upcoming drama “To the Beautiful You,” a Korean adaptation to the popular Japanese manga “Hana Kimi.” SM Entertainment has finally unveiled the two male and female leads for the upcoming drama: SHINee’s Minho and f(x)’s Sulli. The series will be directed by "Boys over Flowers'" Jeon Ki Sang.
Originally, “To the Beautiful You” was aiming to premiere following SBS “Ghost,” starring So Ji Sub and Lee Yeon Hee. Unfortunately, SBS has decided assign that airtime to Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun’sFaith,” pushing back “To the Beautiful You.”  However, SBS announced its intention to broadcast the SM drama sometime in the second half of 2012.

The original manga has had a Japanese drama version created in 2007 and a Taiwanese version produced in 2006. Both versions were extremely popular.  The story is about Mijukiga, an extreme fan girl of athlete Sano, who moves from her home in America to Japan where Sano lives. She impersonates a guy to attend Sano’s boys only high school. The drama will detail the lives of the school’s pretty boys. SM Entertainment has a slew of good-looking male idol stars who would be perfect for the parts.
