{NEWS} Salamander Guru, starring SHINee's Minho, to be released in DVD form

Salamander Guru, starring our very own Minho, is set to become available in DVD form! Fans of the show can rejoice, as the DVD will include all 10 episodes of Salamander Guru, as well as a 40 page booklet showcasing a multitude of pictures from the set and the show (among them a slew of Minho pictures).

Taemin and Key will appear in a bonus talk segment on the DVD along with other guest stars of the show, such as Secret's Hyosung, Infinite's L, and SNSD's Taeyeon.

The plotline of Salamander Guru is as follows:
"Genius hacker with social phobia Minhyuk, whose father is a computer genius, grew up learning hacking skills through his dad. After his dad passed away, Minhyuk was adopted abroad. He immersed himself in computers and developed a social phobia. At the age of 20, he returned to Korea and started to chase X, the man who drove his dad to death. Following clues from his memories, he finds Salamander Guru’s fortune-telling house and meets Sun Dal and Won Sam. To find the Salamander Guru who knows the secrets of X, Minhyuk has no choice but to help the fake gurus."

[News] K-Pop Stars SHINee, Girls’ Generation, BoA Continue To Win U.S. Fans

Since they first arrived in New York, NY1 has been following the progress of Korean pop stars trying to make it big in America. In the first installment of a two-part series, Lewis Dodley reports that the door to the so-called Korean Wave appears to have swung wide open.
It was a dream come true for the nine members of Girls’ Generation and their company, SM Entertainment. In another first for the group from South Korea, they were in the national spotlight last month performing on the Late Show with David Letterman.
They also graced the set of “Live with Kelly” as part of a whirlwind 24 hours to promote their first English single, “The Boys.”
“It’s absolutely a dream come true,” said group member Tiffany following the appearances. “It’s still amazing that we were on the show and we’re just thankful that we’re having so much of an experience.”
Asked if the group was nervous appearing on American television, she laughed.
“We enjoyed it – we totally enjoyed it on stage,” she said. “During rehearsals we were a bit jet-lagged, but once the camera turned on we were screaming, whoo! It was the first time we ever performed with live fans, and that sounded really cool.”
The appearances come on the heels of a sold-out performance at Madison Square GArden for Girls’ Generation and six other SM Entertainment acts – which makes you wonder if America has wrapped its arms around the idea of a Korean superstar.
SM Entertainment’s first attempt at cracking the U.S. market was made three years ago by BoA, an Asian sensation so popular that 200 media outlets showed up for her announcement that she was coming to America. Though the album saw only moderate success, her talent was recognized by director Duane Adler – who was so impressed that he’s making “Cobu 3D,” a soon-to-be-released movie based on BoA. It co-stars Derek Hough, and BoA as Ara.
“Ara’s character is Korean in blood and raised in Japan,” BoA explains. “She’s followed her brother to New York and she’s the leader of the Cubu team so she’s very passionate and never gives up on anything she does. So she’s a strong woman.”
“Working with Duane Adler, he’s an amazing director,” BoA adds. “He’s written a lot of amazing dance movies before, so I was very happy to be part of this project. And Derek Hough, when I first met him there was a little bit of awkwardness since we really didn’t know each other. But when we kept rehearsing stuff we got to know each other, and then after I got to know him as a person I thought, ‘Wow, he’s a really nice guy, cool, great dancer, great actor.’ So now we’re really good friends.”
The latest developments embody the concept of Hallyu – the wave of Korean cultural expression that, bit-by-bit, is making a mark on the world. K-Pop artists are doing their best to make that mark a lasting impression.
“We have social networks these days like YouTube and Facebook,” says performer Key of the group SHINee. “So ever though we’re far apart, everyone is able to see our performances through the Internet. I definitely feel that today people are more open-minded to music. Five years ago it would be hard to imagine that people in Europe and all over the world would be listening to K-Pop – but now it seems there’s a chance to listen to a larger variety of different styles of music.”
“I just feel like we’re just starting and we still have a long way up the stairs,” echoes Tiffany. “So we’re just going to work hard for it. My goal for this group is just sticking together as long as possible. We grew up together and I hope it can go on.”

@Soundcatpro : Today was at Apgujeong SM company to help SHINee members make their customised earpiece. We rushed it for them so that they are able to use it for their Japan concert in late April. They have decided use JHAudio’s JH16pro (S/N : A Earpiece model) . Currently the ones using JH16pro are Big Bang and Kim Hyun Joong..#mau donk dipesenin satu buat konser di kamar mandi....hahaha ^_*v

{NEWS} 120303 SHINee practicing choreography with Shim Jaewon for their comeback?

Fans have been awaiting for SM Entertainment's male group, SHINee, to make their comeback after rumors began that the group would be releasing a new Korean album this year. It was also speculated by fans that SHINee would release a new song titled "Superhero" this year,a song by Norwegian producers that has been registered to SHINee for a 2012 release as a single.
An exact date has not been confirmed by SM Entertainment as to when SHINee would be making their official comeback. SHINee has been away from the Korean music industry since they last promoted the track "Hello" in October 2010 from their 2nd studio album, "Lucifer."

On March 3rd, Blackbeat/Beatburger/SM Entertainment choreography Shim Jaewon uploaded a photo on his Facebook account with the text, "With shinee Again," tagging himself at SM Entertainment. The photo revealed the feet of the SHINee members in the dance practice studio.
In July 2011, Shim Jaewon uploaded photos of cups with super junior's names , indicating the choreography for the group's comeback at the time to tease fans. He also uploaded, a photo of the legs of Super Junior at the time as well.

SHINee’s Min Ho changes into a Casanova when he gets drunk at Salamander guru

 

Recently, SHINee’s Min Ho is seen acting charming like a Casanova after getting drunk.

In the episode of SBS’s The Salamander Expert and the Shadow Operation that aired on February 24, Min Hyuk (played by Min Ho) is seen drunk after eating some grapes stored in fruit liquor.

He gives a big hug to the real salamander expert Bum Gyu (played by Lee Byung Joon) and kisses him saying, “I love you!” On seeing him, Won Sam (played by Lim Won Hee) says, “There should be another Min Hyuk living within him.”

The very next day, Min Hyuk becomes shocked seeing some girls coming over to his place, and each of them arguing: “You asked me out.” “We were supposed to look for a wedding hall.” “We were going to on our honeymoon.”

Min Hyuk avoids the scene saying, “I’m sorry. I don’t remember a thing.”

When Won Sam sees Min Hyuk getting girls when he gets drunk, he calls him to a bar. Min Hyuk refuses to drink, but ends up getting drunk after drinking a glass of water in which Won Sam added some liquor.

Then Min Hyuk’s drinking habits are exposed; he flirts with girls at the bar saying, “Let’s go on a date,” or “Give me a kiss.”

By the end of the episode, the series aired a trailer for the next episode in which IU appeared as a pickpocket.
