[NEWS] 120617 JYJ’s Junsu successfully holds a live concert in Indonesia

JYJ’s Junsu successfully held a live concert in Indonesia as a solo singer.
On June 16 (local time), Junsu held a live concert titled “Xia’s First Asian Tour in Indonesia” and interacted with nearly 2,500 fans in Indonesia.
At the concert, Junsu got the fans excited by performing both ballad and dance songs, including “Tarantallegra,” “Though I Already Know,” “I Hate Love,” “Fever,” and “Set Me Free.”
Junsu also had a talk time with the fans and said, “I’m Xia. Are you having a good time? I love you,” in Indonesian.

After the concert was over, Junsu said, “I can’t believe that I had a concert in Indonesia. Thanks to the fans, I could have such a great concert in a country that I visited for the first time. I promise I’ll visit again.”
Junsu will continue his concert tour in Taiwan on June 23.

{NEWS}Kim Jun Su’s visit to Indonesia attracts attention

Previously at the conference meeting that was held at JITEC(Mangga Dua Square) on June 15 at 2:00 p.m, Kim Jun Su gave sincere replies to 100 reporters.

When he was asked how he feels about coming to Indonesia, he said, “All of the JYJ members wanted to visit, but I’m so sad that they couldn’t. However, I am happy to have the opportunity to visit Indonesia even if it is through my solo activities, and I promise you to give you the best concert ever.”
Another question was asked, “Why did you dye your hair blue?” He replied, “Well, it means that I want to start everything fresh since it’s my first time in Indonesia. But I dyed my hair just to give myself some change and refresh myself.”

He was asked to advise give advice to young adults in Indonesia, so he said, “There are always good and bad things in life. Don’t waste your time and energy on bad things but be satisfied with the good things you have. If you do that, you will receive positive energy, and it will bring you good results.”
An acquaintance of the Indonesian concert mentioned, “Not many K-pop stars are visiting Indonesia yet. That is why Kim Jun Su’s visit is attracting attention all over Indonesia. I am looking forward to the concert tomorrow because I heard that it’s high quality.”
Kim Jun Su’s Indonesia Concert will be held at JITEC(Mangga Dua Square) on June 16 at 7:00 p.m.

{NEWS}JYJ's Junsu reveals dance version of "Tarantallegra" MV

 

After releasing the official music video for his newest title track, "Tarantallegra," JYJ's Junsu has released the dance version of the music video.

The video was released in order to help overseas promotions, and the dance version will help Junsu stand out more as a solo performer. The choreography for "Tarantallegra" was created by Jeri Slaughter, who has worked with artists such as Christina Aguilera in the past. After the release of the original music video, the choreography received much praise for being high-level and challenging.

Junsu's full-length album, "Xia Tarantallegra," was released on May 15th, and he has been holding solo concerts throughout Asia to promote his new album.

{NEWS}JYJ’s Jun Su sells over 0.12 million copies of his solo album and tops the Gaon Chart

JYJ’s Jun Su has sold over 0.12 million copies of his first solo album and topped the Gaon Chart.

On June 11, a spokesperson for Jun Su reported, “The total number of copies of Xia’s Tarantallegra sold exceeded 120,000 last week. It was the largest number for a solo album according to the Gaon Chart.”

A spokesperson for Gaon Chart says, “It was the largest number of copies sold for a solo album. Xia hasn’t appeared on TV much but many people, including Xia’s existing fans, have asked for the album as it’s a high-quality album that includes various different genres.”

Jun Su’s music video is also very popular in China.

The music video of Tarantallegra, which attracted wide attention in Korea with its sensational images, topped the May’s chart of the Yuetai Chart, the biggest music video site in China.

One of the record executives says, “Because people in China cannot connect to YouTube and Twitter, their own music video site does the job instead. The fact that Jun Su has topped the Yuetai Chart means a lot because he beat Super Junior and SNSD-Tae Ti Seo who have actively promoted their albums.”

In addition, Jun Su is successfully making his concert tour in Asia now. All 15,000 tickets for his concert held at Jamsil Gymnasium in May were sold out in only ten minutes, and all tickets for his concerts held in Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan were also sold out.

C-jes Entertainment, Jun Su’s agency, says, “We didn’t plan to promote the album on TV. Instead, we tried to create a high-quality full-length album that includes twelve songs and to plan a perfect concert with the best choreographer from the U.S. We invested a lot in the music video of ‘Tarantallegra’ and it was successful. We think it was possible because we were confident about the artist’s talent.”

C-jes will release the choreography version of the music video of “Tarantallegra” on its official YouTube channel on June 11 at 2:00 p.m.

In the picture, Kim is standing with cast members from the musical and all three of them are smiling. Kim’s handsome appearance attracted considerable attention.
People who saw the picture responded: “The musical is fun!” “Oh my gosh! I saw the musical a few days ago but I should have watched it yesterday.” “Kim looks more handsome than ever.” “They are all musical stars.” “Wow, they all look like they’re from a cartoon.”

[NEWS] 120529 JYJ’s Kim Junsu ranks 10th on Billboard World Album chart

JYJ’s Kim Junsu recently entered the Billboard charts as a solo singer.
According to Billboard World Album chart, which was released on May 25, Kim’s solo album Xia Tarantallegra ranked 10th. The album was released on May 15 and entered the chart after only 10 days.

Nielsen SoundScan, the information and sales tracking system, makes a list based on weekly album sales in the United States and Canada. This proves that Kim is responsive not only in Asia but also in the Americas.

Kim’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, says, “These results were possible even though he never appeared on TV. His sensational music captured the world. JYJ and Junsu are world wide K-pop stars who have many fans all over the world. Please keep an eye on him.”
Kim ranked 9th on the Japanese Oricon chart (last week in May) and 1st on the Japanese iTunes. He is touring 7 Asian countries, including, Thailand, Jakarta, and Taiwan.

{NEWS}JYJ’s Junsu expresses his firm determination on his first solo Asia tour

JYJ’s Jun Su recently expressed his firm determination on his first solo Asia tour.

Jun Su showed up at a press conference that was held at Bangkok Convention Center in Thailand on May 27 at 11. The JYJ member revealed, “I’m really thrilled that my Asia tour begins in Thailand, Asia. I really wanna do well with the first concert.”

The popular singer also added, “This album has all about me, and through the album, I wanted to show something new rather than following the current trend. I hope the concert will hit it big with Thailand fans.”

Jun Su didn’t forget to show his affection towards Thailand fans. When a reporter told him that Kim’s twitter page is in the limelight in Thailand, the knockout stated, “I like tropical trees and beautiful beaches, so I love to tweet photos of them. I think I’ll post a photo of Thailand tropical trees. And I also plant to sing a new song titled “Lullaby.”

A reporter from one of the prestigious outlets in Thailand says, “He is expected to give the greatest performances than ever, and he’s been getting more and more gorgeous as well. We believe he is the one of the greatest artists in Asia. We’re looking forward to his concert in Thailand.”

Kim Jun Su’s first sols Asia concert, titled XIA 1st Aisa Tour in Bangkok, was successfully held at Paragon Hall following the press conference.

{NEWS}Junsu and Juno, the twin, make top 10 on Japan’s Oricon Chart

Junsu’s first solo album Xia Trantellegra claimed the ninth spot on Oricon’s weekly album chart upon its release on May 20. His smooth start didn’t go unnoticed since his album climbed the chart so quickly within its first day of release. 

His twin brother, Juno, isn’t so far behind. His single “Everything” which was released on May 16, reached the tenth place on Oricon’s weekly singles Chart.  

With the recent success of K-pop in Japan, seeing Korean singers/groups securing spots in the top 10 on Japan’s Oricon chart isn’t rare. However, seeing twin brothers ranking high on Oricon’s weekly chart is rare enough to draw much attention.

On May 23, the boyband Supernova and T-ara also released their new singles “Stupid love/Come back to me” and “Lovey-Dovey”(Japanese version). Immediately after the release of their new singles, Supernova and T-ara ranked # 4 and # 5 on Oricon’s daily singles chart respectively.
Kim Jung Hoon also released his new Japanese album titled Voice and Teen Top also put out Teen Top Japan First Edition, respectively securing the fifth and sixth places on Oricon’s daily album Chart.
Following the release of their album Sherlock on May 16, Shinee quickly climbed the chart and reached # 2 on Oricon’s weekly singles chart. F.T. Island is only a few places behind, making the fourth spot on Oricon’s weekly album chart.

{NEWS}Kim Jun-su solo is No. 1 in Japan

 

Kim Jun-su’s debut solo album has topped Japan’s iTunes chart just days after being released on May 15.

According to Japanese iTunes on Friday, the album entitled “Xia Tarantallegra” overtook Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga to take the coveted spot on the iTunes Album Chart.
The singer is hugely popular in Japan, and fans there put their names down on a waiting list to purchase the album even before its official release date.
The album also became the most ordered in May on Tower Records’ and Amazon Japan’s Web sites.
“As the singer has been active in Japan until recently, his popularity is just surging,” said a representative from Kim’s agency, CJeS Entertainment.
In Korea too, the album has topped various charts and is being heralded as a well-made album by critics, who praise its new and original sound that is not characteristic of K-pop.
At a press conference last week, Kim said the theme of his album is “androgynous wizard.” He has taken to cross-dressing to promote it.
