{NEWS}Big Bang’s “Monster” receives over 3 million hits on YouTube in a day

Big Bang set a new record with their comeback.
The music video of Big Bang’s new song “Monster” received over three million hits on YouTube in a day after it was released on June 4. This is the largest hits received in the shortest period in the K-pop history.
The music video of “Monster” has received 3,013,554 hits by June 4 at 7:00 a.m.
In addition to this, the teaser videos of each member also received a great number of hits. T.O.P’s received over two million hits, G-Dragon’s received over 1.6 million hits, Taeyang’s received about 0.94 hits, Seungri’s received about 0.88 hits, and Daesung’s received about 0.48 hits. All five teasers received over 5.90 million hits.

If the number of hits for the music video is added, the total number of hits reaches nearly 8.90 million.
Receiving wide attention with its scale, the music video of “Monster” reinterprets Big Bang according to each member’s distinctive personality. It also shows very stylish scenes as befitted to the name of Big Bang, a group that sets the trend.

The special effects, which took a month of effort to create, kept the viewers’ eyes glued to the screen although the running time for the video is nearly five minutes.
Including the music video, the song has also topped the charts. Immediately after “Monster” was released, it topped the charts, and all other new songs of Big Bang ranked from second to fifth.
Big Bang’s special edition album Still Alive, which was created in collaboration with Hyundai Card, will be released on June 6 on and offline. Big Bang are currently holding a concert in Japan, attracting over 255,000 audiences.

{NEWS}Big Bang releases "Monster" MV

For the past five days, YG Entertainment teased fans with individual teasers of Big Bang. They began with TOP, and followed with G-Dragon, Seungri, and Taeyang. Yesterday, YG Entertainment finished off the teasers with member Daesung.

On June 3rd, Big Bang released their special edition mini album, "Still Alive." The mini album contains their latest hit tracks including "Fantastic Baby," "Love Dust," "Bad Boy," and "Blue." The album also contains new tracks including "Still Alive" and "Bingle Bingle." The Korean versions of their Japanese hit tracks, "Feelings" and "Ego" are also included.

{NEWS}Big Bang’s Daesung transforms into a shirtless beast

Recently, Big Bang’s Daesung has changed into a beast full of manly appeal.

At midnight of June 2, YG Entertainment released the group’s Still Alive teaser for Daesung on the official YG blog.

In the teaser, Daesung sports a strong image of the title track “Monster” singing in a mournful, appealing tone.

He appears shirtless with one of his arms covered with fur. At certain point of the video, he attempts to escape from something, showing off a wild, manly appeal.

A staff member of YG Entertainment said, “Through the five teasers of each member, we presented five different charms of ‘Monster’ and aimed to bring up fans’ expectations higher for the full version.”

Along with the title track “Monster,” the group recorded four other songs on its special edition album: “Still Alive,” “Feeling,” “Ego,” and “Bingle Bingle.”

Big Bang is planning to release all songs of Still Alive on June 3 on various music websites and the copies will hit the shelves on June 6.

TVXQ's newest single "Still" has snatched away the top spot in the daily single rankings with 84,029 copies sold. Girl group Rainbow's "Gonna Gonna Go!" reached the 6th place.

In the daily album rankings, 2PM grabs a 2nd spot with the release of their best of album "2PM BEST ~2008-2011 in Korea~". The group sold 16,253 copies. They were followed on the 6th spot by After School, who released their first full length album "Playgirlz" earlier today as well.

Boy group MBLAQ sold 5,783 copies of its best of album "BLAQ MEMORIES -Best In Korea-", arriving on a 18th spot a week after its release.

Next week will see the release of IU's first single, Supernova leader Yoonhak's solo single, Jang Geunsuk will be releasing his first full length album as part of Tean H while Kara is set to release their newest single. SMASH and Tony Ahn conclude the list of Korean releases with a limited edition of their Korean "Get Your Swag On" collaboration single.
